Mossman's 1st time on dirt for this year is definitely happening this coming Sunday, 13th April, @ The Reef & Rainforest Track, Mossman, from 12 noon til 4pm.

The DSMSA is hosting a Khanacross practise day, in anticipation of our busy '08 Khanacross Calendar, and offers the opportunity for those of us who have not yet even started our cars this year to at least make sure they still go!
We also hope to welcome many new drivers to have some fun, and it appears there will be a few there that are likely to offer some serious competition throughout the rest of the year.

We have the track looking great, and ready to go, albeit one small part of it being unusable due to heavy wet season rains.
For the same reason the usual pit area and car park remains unusable, therefore on Sunday we will be using part of the track infield for this purpose.
Follow the signposts, heading north from Mossman, and once at the track turn in the 2nd driveway to go up the right hand side of the usual car park and follow the entrance track through the gates to the infield.

All usual Khanacross requirements apply for the day, with the exception being a sharing of the CAMS permit cost to drive. Permit cost is $95 and will be split evenly between all who drive on the day.

It looks like, after 2 Motorkhanas already in '08, that there will be up to 10 drivers competing this year capable of taking out the Club Championship, with many more developing their skills and potential throughout the year.
The 1st actual Khanacross event for 2008 is planned for 2 weeks later, on Sunday 27th April, and the full event calendar for '08 may be viewed on the Motorsport Mossman website.
